This is the restaurant on the bottom floor of the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The room is stunning and the food, presentation and service were all top notch. The price points were not outrageous for what we were served. We will go back in the future as we enjoyed our evening tremendously! Delicious artichoke, Hamachi, beef tartar, salmon with wild mushrooms in a white wine and butter sauce, ricotta raviolis were all delicious!

Awesome experience. Service was five stars and worth coming back. We were so impressed- live music on a Friday evening, great food, great ambiance, cocktails were excellent… this is a LA sleeper and we are now big time fans. If you haven’t been yet- try it.

Incredible!!! The best meal we have had in a long time - we were at Le Bernadin in NYC the week prior and after that Espelette was better. The Somm and Wine Director are knowledgeable and the wait staff is attentive. The Brussels and kale salad has me craving for more. Best smash burger in LA. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent restaurant with good menu, good wine list and good service. Only problem is that it is an EXTREMELY noisy environment and to make matters worse, they turn the music up very loud making it nearly impossible to have a dinner conversation with out almost having to shout. For a business dinner or important social event, this is not the place to do it.

The main heater outside should be fixed. Otherwise our evening was perfect and the food was reasonable and superb!

Ambiance as great however food was not impressive at all. It was average. It was nice that they give a complimentary birthday dessert for my husband whom we were celebrating that night.

Really enjoyable experience. We were somewhat rushed because we had a theater show to attend, but our server was great in accommodating getting our orders in promptly and food out quickly. Enjoyed a couple nice glasses of wine and all the food was well done. Really enjoyed the salmon. Hopefully will have a chance to relax for dessert next time.

It was a special evening as we were celebrating my mother's 89th birthday. Every dish we had was wonderful, but we especially loved the kale/brussel sprout salad. Amazing flavors. Staff treated us as if we were royalty.

Prix Fix menu Christmas Eve. Wasn’t sure about $175/person; but well worth it! The Food and Food Art was ethereal and delicious! Dragged the chef out and thanked him profusely. Wines BTG very well chosen! Service was very attentive. Will go back again, and again!

Excellent restaurant with very good food, good service, and beautiful setting. One problem: the music is TOO LOUD...drowns out conversation and makes dinner conversation difficult. No reason for a restaurant of this caliber to create an unpleasant acoustic environment.

I loved dining here very much. The hostess greeted us warmly, our waiter was able to make excellent recommendations and the food was delicious. My friend and I enjoyed our dinner so much, we made another reservation to bring our spouses.

Gotta give credit to the staff. Harmony our server and Shawn the manager were great. Very chill/cool environment. The food was delicious both appetizers and entrees. I love genuine baguette bread too.

Everything was 5-star! The food is tasty and reasonably priced for the area and venue. Portions are a good size. The service was top-notch and the wine list is amazing! Bottle prices are high (as at most places) but they have really good wine sold by the glass (which isn’t often the case). We will be back for sure! No pictures to share bc we were too busy enjoying our meal, wine and the ambiance.

The service was seamless and the restaurant had wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Every dish tasted delicious and was beautifully prepared. The vibe was old-world hotel dining experience with modern decor, haute cuisine and fresh ingredients. I think people would really enjoy Espelette's upcoming seasonal multi-course menu!

So thrilled for Meilleur Ouvrier de France Chef Steve Benjamin. This was my first visit to Espelette, and I had admittedly high expectations based on several previous visits to Jean-Georges Beverly Hills and The Rooftop by Jean-Georges. Every expectation was exceeded! The first pleasant surprise was being seated at a lounge table as a solo diner. From my Coastal Dreams cocktail and hamachi carpaccio through a surprise langoustine with basil wrapped in the thinnest of crispy pastry (!) to a lovely classic steak with fluffy bernaise and haricots verts, and ending with a memorable chartreuse soufflé—everything was on point. Just as Chef JGV has adopted NYC as his home, Chef Steve has adopted BH. The professional training in France that results in cooks who learn every aspect of a brigade AND crafting guest experiences is rare; the culture associated with it may be unique. 🙏🏽
