• Former Sabrina, the Teenage Witch star Beth Broderick is starring in the Hallmark Christmas movie, Christmas Town.
  • Here's what the 60-year-old actress has been doing since she left the 90s sitcom.

We all know and love Aunt Zelda from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. But now that real-life actress Beth Broderick is appearing in Hallmark Countdown to Christmas originals, we’re beginning to realize we don’t know much about the beloved ‘90s and early ‘00s star.

To celebrate her upcoming movie Christmas Town, which premieres December 1 on Hallmark, we've gathered some interesting facts you might not have known about the 60-year-old actress.

She left “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” after feeling like the character wasn’t going anywhere.

Following the sixth season of the fan-favorite coming-of-age TV series, Beth felt her role was no longer integral in the show—especially since Sabrina was heading off to college.

When she’s not acting, she’s fundraising.

Beth is one of the founding members of MOMENTUM, one of the first organizations geared towards providing food and a sense of family to those living with HIV/AIDS. She’s been actively supporting the cause since 1984. She is also a founding member of the Celebrity Action Council for City Light Women’s Rehabilitation Program in Los Angeles, and regularly provides resources and charity for the Good Shepherd Home for battered women and children.

She also concentrates her fundraising efforts in politics. The Hallmark star worked on both Clinton campaigns, as well as raised money and support for John Kerry, and a number of California politicians, including LA City Councilman Eric Garcetti, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, and Senator Tom Harkin.

When she’s not fundraising, she’s baking.

While Beth doesn't post to social media often, when she does, there’s a good chance sweets will be involved. In fact, her Instagram bio wittingly mentions “Can bring the funny and the pie.”

Once you start scrolling through her feed, you’ll find everything from homemade plum upside-down cake and expertly-crafted carrot cake to lemon and peach pies.

She’s married to Scott Paetty.

Beth is married to 90210 actor Scott Paetty, who is nine years her junior. The pair reportedly got married in 2005.

She’s starred alongside Brad Pitt.

While Beth is known for her supporting roles and cameos, once upon a time she acted alongside none other than Brad Pitt in Glory Days. The short-lived ‘90s TV drama focused on four high school friends whose lives diverged after graduation. It came to a close after just six episodes.

No, she's not related to Matthew Broderick.

According to a Reddit thread she hosted a few years back, "Yes people ask me that often and no we are not related." It's too bad, because with Sarah Jessica Parker their family could have two legendary witches!
