Always pleased to be able to visit a seat of government and this one has so much history. Amazing design, especially the dome. Worth taking the guided tour.

The Brandenburg Gate is always worth visiting. I arrived at this iconic building to find a demonstration was taking place. Punctuated by selections played by a brass band, several speakers called for as full restoration of music education in German schools. Good for them!

A really good explanation of the build up to the rise of the Nazi party in 1930s Germany. Very heavy and a lot of text but I felt I needed to go. The audio guide provided on your phone with free WiFi is excellent.

The memorial is impressive, and it certainly inspires thought. Calling the experience "excellent" is a bit of a misnomer. The Memorial is imposing and sobering, reminding one of one of the greatest crimes, perhaps the greatest crime, in history.

Visited today, arrived or Nordbahnof, this itself is a very interesting place. The photos around show you how the station was sealed off along with lots to read.
Across the road is the memorial, you can stand in the middle of the walls. Lots of information as you walk around, then across the road is the viewing tower and exhibition, you can go up to the 5th floor to look over with the watch tower. Lots of photos and information inside. Further down the road is the gift/bookshop with interesting books in all languages including ones for children which explain it. Can’t believe there is no charge either. Well worth a visit which is full of information and makes you realise how the wall divided people including through the cemetery.

Falling in Love is the show at this venue that is playing until July 2024 - and it is absolutely crazy in a so-bad-it’s-good kind of way! The story is nonsense, the songs are silly, the outfits are gorgeous. There is some really unexpected talents to be seen, like trampolining and a unique balancing act. If you enjoy the camp nonsense that is often in Eurovision I think you will really enjoy it, if that kind of thing isn’t for you avoid it at all costs.

As for the venue itself it is very grand, and I appreciate that it is relatively affordable. I booked a cheap seat on a weekday and paid €30 and can’t complain at all, I could see the whole stage and wasn’t at all uncomfortable. I’m sure the stall seats are great tho so just pay what you can afford. The seats are comfortable to me as a plus size person and I wouldn’t have any hesitation about coming back in the future.

Also I have to commend the staff - I had a problem with my ticket and they gave some helpful advice (in English) over the phone.

It was good to see apart of the iconic Berlin history and it was great to get an insight into how the wall has been remodeled to resemble something so sad in a beautiful way. There was one issue with the wall which was that infront of the iconic car drawing there was a man standing there forcing people to get into photos with him, playing a violin and then asking for payment. I took photos from afar however if you wanted to take a decent photo of the drawing you would have to pay this man which is a total SCAM!!!

With no less than 5 museums to choose from plus of course The Dome you must choose carefully as which ones you want to visit. Realistically it's impossible to see more than 2 or 3 in a day so you may want to come more than once. Either way you won't be disappointed.
