Benson is an excellent school in career/technical education. It is wonderful if you are interested in medical careers or manufacturing, and it has a student-run radio station. It is, however, slightly lacking in the arts.
Benson polytechnic high school offers a wide range of majors that prepare you for the work field once you graduate. My focus was on dental assisting and I am now currently enrolled in a dental hygiene program at Portland community college. Because of the dental assisting class I was able to get ahead by shadowing dental professionals, learning about x-rays and teeth, and gaining clinical experience.
More engagement from teachers. There are times when I feel they aren’t really engaging students.
There is also a need for more activities. There doesn’t seem to be much student involvement in activities or many activities offered.
