Bennington College is a quaint college to visit. We just wanted to see it while we were in Bennington, and it was worth a 15-20 minute drive. It is very small, but cute nonetheless. I was hoping there would be enough to justify parking to walk around, but there was not. However, we enjoyed our time driving around.

Bennington College was not what we expected from a New England College campus. We drove all over campus looking for a picture perfect area on a lovely autumn day but could not find one. The best part of the campus was the gate at the entrance and drive going in.

Our granddaughter attends Bennington so we visited her end of April. Not your typical New England-looking college by any means but she really likes it so that is what counts.

Take pictures of the beautiful view that surrounds Bennington College , the view is so beautiful in the fall and winter . You should definitely bring your pets with you when you take walks , you can even play with your pets there as well. you and your animal friends will fall in love it all year round.

I live in the same town as the college. It has a lot of acreage, so you won't see it from the road. The iconic building pictured will be renovated in 2018-2019. I don't think of that as the heart of the college. More of their buildings are 1950s-1970s architecture. College has lot of music, dance, art, and intellectual offerings open to the public. Also has an impressive program called Center for the Advancement of Public Action. The students are capable, independent scholars who all have a midwinter term after classes end in December until the 3rd week of January when they do independent studies off campus.

Great place to enjoy the greenscapes of Vermont. Lovely place for a walk in any season. Architecture is New England classic. Wouldn't miss it if I were in Bennington.

We had the best college tour guide, Matt. He helped us navigate our way around and answered our questions so articulately and had a sense of humor. Beautiful campus and unique curriculum.

We came to tour the school as a potential applicant. The school is set on some beautiful acreage. While it was winter and there were no foliage to speak of, you can tell it would be beautiful during all the other seasons. I'm sure the students enjoy waking up to the scenery of mountains and woodland. We took a student guided tour but I don't know if they want tourist wandering around the school for the students safety.

This is a small campus with a BIG yard. Set on high ground with pockets of forest and meadow, it is also a showcase for some fine clusters of architecturally significant buildings. Certainly worth a trip around the grounds if you are in the area and appreciate collegiate settings.
