From Bennington College

The world needs hyphenates—the multi-talents and hybrid thinkers. People who can rethink the world and invent the new. This is why learning at Bennington goes beyond the bounds of a traditional major. Our students create a Plan individually tailored to their interests through one-on-one advising with faculty who ensure their intellectual interests and personal ambitions are interlaced to form an academically sound Plan.

Real-world experience is built into a Bennington education through Field Work Term. Every year our students spend six weeks working off campus with an organization of their choosing, anywhere in the world. This is another reason our graduates earn such high marks from employers.

With a diverse and international student body, the College has a broad world view because we bring the world to Bennington. Students come from 45 US states and over 50 countries. Our campus is a gorgeous, creative incubator with the spaces and materials you need to create and test your ideas.
