Sources are shedding some new insight into Jennifer Garner’s current relationship with ex-husband Ben Affleck and his new wife, Jennifer Lopez.
Insiders told Daily Mail that the former spouses are “the best versions of themselves right now” and are actively prioritizing “what is best for their kids.”
“Ben and Jen have finally gotten to a point where co-parenting is the main goal for them both, and to add any drama to that, they know that would be a big mistake,” a source said. “Jen wants the best for Ben and really looks out for him and really likes that he is with J.Lo, because she grounds him and steers him away from his previous vices.”
Garner and Affleck were married for over a decade before divorcing in 2018. They share three children: 17-year-old Violet, 14-year-old Seraphina, and 11-year-old Samuel.
Meanwhile, Affleck and Lopez—who dated in the early 2000s before calling off their engagement in 2004—romantically reconciled in 2021 and officially got married the following year. Lopez shares 15-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“They both have moved on from the bitterness that a divorce can cause and are both the best versions of themselves right now, and they both know that it is what is best for their kids,” the source added, noting that Garner recently embarked on a family trip to Disneyland with her and Lopez’s children. “To be able to incorporate J.Lo’s kids in the mix on trips or holidays or in this recent case, Disney. It is just the way their life is right now, it works, and it is as normal as possible. Everyone is friendly and happy with the way life is for all of them.”
The insider added that Garner’s relationship with her current boyfriend, John Miller, is also going well: “Jen is very happy with John and feels that Ben should be happy as well in his personal life.”
Another source close to Lopez explained her dynamic with Garner. “J.Lo is not going to be best friends with Jen, but they are friendly, and there is no animosity between them both,” they said. “J.Lo loves Ben’s kids and things are vice versa in Ben’s mind. To have each other, they both know they need to be accepting and loving of everything else that comes with them.”
The trio have been publicly seen together on multiple occasions since Bennifer married in 2022. Most recently, the three of them ventured out together to support Seraphina’s performance in her school play.
