Belleville High School Reviews

One of the best parts of this school is the resources offered to students whether that be teachers opening the door for questions, tutoring, wellness center accessibility, or the formation of a platform to make up bad grades. However, a glaring issue is the academics and discipline which exhibit many problems and inconsistent, lack of regulation. Many children are failing which is increasing each year and there does not seem to be much action to revert this. In the early years of the school system, the dress code would be strongly implemented and maintained; however, that same principle is not upheld as there are now more codes out of dress code than in dress code. I believe that this causes students to not have discipline and responsibility, both in school and outside of it, which can cause them more harm in the long run. Although the teachers are extremely helpful in an environment that does not have continuous issues, the form of indictment and maintenance of morals needs work.
I have enjoyed my 4 years in this school, no problems at all. Very diverse, you'll meet people from different parts of the world here in this school. The resources are plentiful, but the quality and clearness could be better. There are many clubs and extra curricular, and many clubs that involve giving back to the community. The sports teams haven't got any major wins recently, just volleyball, but the team spirit exists. If you want to join volleyball, however, it would be hard as it's made up of a closed friend group. That hopefully does change in the future, but it's not a big problem.
I think personally that Belleville High School does a lot for their students but what makes High School is definitely the students around. BHS is very diverse, and offers a lot of opportunities but it does have its cons. The majority faculty provides good teaching but the programs we are constantly required to use is getting overwhelming. When a student speaks out on issues, it’s very well put aside. Belleville High School needs a consistent program to use and that’s not difficult to use. Belleville High School has a harsh environment due to the students that most faculty don’t resolve. It’s sad to see students constantly failing and teachers yelling. A lot of students don’t participate or even put effort anymore, the only classes that put effort are Advanced Placements and Honors classes. Hope BHS can improve :(
