  1. She was adopted by her foster parents on April 7, 1970.
  2. Bellamy changed her name to Bellamy to join the Screen Actors Guild because there was someone already registered as Amy Young. She chose the name “Bellamy” as a tribute to her late adoptive father’s best friend, Bill, who helped in her upbringing after the death of her father.
  3. Her adoptive father died of lung cancer.
  4. She began her pursuits in acting by initially participating in theatre productions.
