Opened in 1905, renovated in 2016 and reopened on Dec 30 2019, Beijing North Railway Station (Chinese name 北京北站, Beijing Bei Zhan) is located in Xicheng District, northwest of downtown of Beijing. As the terminus of the high-speed Beijing–Zhangjiakou intercity railway, this new station covers 21,000 square metres, and has 6 platforms, 11 railway tracks. Beijing North Railway Station serves 97 high-speed trains and bullet trains per day, including Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, Beijing-Hohhot high-speed railway and Beijing-Baotou High-speed Railway .

Beijing North railway station is located just outside Xizhimen station on Line 2, Line 4 and Line 13 of the Beijing Subway system. There are transfer hall and underground passage on B1.

Departures
Step 1: Get to Beijing North Railway Station by subway, Taxi, Bus or Car 45 minutes before train departure.
Step 2: Go through Security Check and real-name ID check to enter departure Hall by showing passport.
Step 3: Find the Boarding Gate (Ticket Check Gate). The gate No. will be in the confirmation email we send to you.
Step 4: Have a seat near the gate to wait for check-in and boarding. The boarding gate will be opened 20 - 15 minutes prior to the departure time.
Step 5: Ticket check. Please show your passport and confirmation No. to station staff to check in. The boarding gate will be closed 5 minutes before the train departs

Do you need to collect paper tickets?
Since Dec 2019, the electronic tickets have been available on most high-speed and bullet train routes from or to Beijing North Railway Station.
It means international travellers can show their passports, likes Chinese ID to check in and board the train directly, and don't need to collect the paper tickets at ticket office.

Arrivals
