Miranda Lambert knows how to wow a crowd. She revealed exactly how she earned her ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year with an incredible performance at Stagecoach that ended with an appearance by a country legend.

Lambert hit the stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, for the 2024 Stagecoach Festival with a setlist that included something for every fan—and that includes Reba McEntire fans. Rolling Stone reports that as Lambert prepped for her finale, she teased the crowd, saying, “I was thinking it would be pretty bada** if I had a feisty redhead from Oklahoma to sing this song with me tonight.” In the world of country music, there’s only one feisty redhead from Oklahoma, so the crowd immediately went wild.

McEntire walked out to join Lambert on stage where they proceeded to team up for not one, but three songs.  Per a press release, that three-song finale included "Mama's Broken Heart," a hard-rockin’ version of McEntire’s classic "Fancy", and "Gunpowder & Lead." Naturally, fireworks went off after the performance.

Of course, Reba wasn’t the only surprise that Lambert had in store for the crowd.  She also gave Stagecoach fans a sneak preview of her brand-new song “Wranglers”, which she debuted on stage. In a statement, she said of her new tune, “I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels. I think the songwriters nailed it. "

Her set also included some old favorites including “Kerosene," "Vice," "The House That Built Me" and a whole lot more.

This very dynamic duo will reunite at the Academy of Country Music Awards, which McEntire is hosting for a record 17th time and Lambert is slated to perform. Here's hoping that they perform together or at least consider taking this show on the road for a co-headlining tour.
