referencing Sleeper Wherever I Fall (LP, Album) KC 35645
It is apparent Bobby Bare was reaching out to more than just his Country audience. Here he is with 5 songs produced by England Dan and John Ford Coley's producer, Kyle Lehning, and 5 by Steve Gibson, making a fine shambles of the distinction between country and rock. He does a cover of the Byrd's 'I'll feel a whole lot better' and the Rolling Stones, 'The last time', it seems keeping enigmatic of his nature. The only (very minor) complaint I have is about "Sleeper Wherever I Fall" which seems to be too tightened up around Bare himself distracting from the rest of the album. Fine Performance and Very good recording.
