Baseball Takes Down Bard College, 12-4

Annandale-on-Hudson, NY-  The Williams College Baseball team secured a 12-4 win over Bard College. 

The game started with Williams taking the lead right from the first inning. Mike Giove ignited the scoring with a smart run on a wild pitch. Marcus Burrell followed up with a dynamic triple to right center, driving in Brendan Stannard. Ryan Nakajima added to the momentum with a sacrifice that allowed Burrell to score, pushing Williams to a quick three-nothing lead.

The offensive prowess of Williams continued throughout the game. In the third inning, Marcus Burrell flew out to left field but not without securing a sacrifice fly RBI, adding another run to the board for Williams. 

The fourth inning saw Mike Giove triple to center field, bringing in Sasha Palma for another run. Henry Juan's smart base running shortly after allowed Giove to score during a steal, extending the lead to 6-0.

The fifth inning saw Williams expand their advantage further. Mike Giove doubled to center, knocking in Luca Lopetrone and Sasha Palma, who had reached base on an error, making it 9-0.

The scoring spree continued in the seventh. Luca Lopetro's double to left field drove in two runs, followed by Henry Juan's double that scored Lopetrone, pushing the tally to a dominant 12-1.

Bard College found some footing in the eighth, adding three runs to the scoreboard but it was not nearly enough to overtake the Ephs. 

Williams will next take on Amherst College this Friday at 4 PM in their last conference series of the season.
