Bayju Noyan was a Mongol General under Ögedei Khan who was the Commander of Persia. He was the main antagonist of Season 2 and a supporting character in Season 4.
Biography[]
Bayju Noyan was the Commander of Mongol Forces in Persia and Georgia. He invaded Anatolia because Sultan Alaeddin Kayqubad I hadn't payed his tribute to the Mongols as the Seljuks were a Mongol Vassal. He is introduced in Episode 2 as he massacres an entire Inn single handedly. When Ertugrul who is captured is introduced to Noyan, Noyan tells him that this is 'the world of Mongols'. He would cause many problems for the Kayis and Dodurga across Season 2. He kills Aykiz, Göçke, Tuğtekin, Hamza Alp, and many other people. He is mortally wounded near the end of Season 2 by Ertugrul and doesn't appear in Season 3. He makes a comeback in Season 4 after being revived by his sister Alangoya. He is a supporting character in Season 4 serving as Ogedei's ambassador to Ertugrul though he doesn't return in Season 5, presumably killed by the new Commander of Persia, Hulagu Khan.
