The album which, at a very tender age, introduced me to both artists on board. Its long gone now but I still shudder at the memory of being exposed to such mind bending tunes as "If Six was nine" "All along the Watchtower" "Remember" and "Are you experienced" by Hendrix and the who going from the teenage masturbatory frenzy of "Pictures of Lily" Through to the blissed out psychedlia of "Relax" "Armenia City in the sky" and "Sunrise" Because it was on vinyl the sound was immense and the sleeve had a picture of some third world kid toking on a spliff. where is he now? Does he know my life was changed by this record?
Never even saw any of the other Backtrack comps. but I know they were out there somewhere. floating through the ether like my damaged brain..
