Anthony T BBC is up themselve by showing children from the upper middle classes at their grammar schools. I was born in 1939 and lived through that time. The majority of the children in the country were poor and I was one of them. I have published my memoirs of that time and it's nothing like your Disney version "Back in time for school. My memoirs are true to fact, titled "Out of London" Anthony Thomas. Amazon Kindle. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Chitra Ramaswamy Guardian As ever, it's the young people who restore the faith. Rated: 4/5 Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Michael Hogan Daily Telegraph (UK) This glorified reality show wasn't terribly enlightening, but the sheer likeability of the participants made for an engaging pop-historical romp which was tastier than tapioca, more beneficial than brimstone. Rated: 3/5 Jan 7, 2019 Full Review David Sexton London Evening Standard Back In Time For now seems a peculiarly antiquated form of programme-making, itself a historical curiosity more than a going concern. Jan 7, 2019 Full Review Jane Rackham Radio Times As well as sharing their favourite memories with presenter Sara Cox and social historian Polly Russell (what's the betting that school dinners will feature but cross-country runs won't?), they also explore what the education of the future might be like. Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Victoria Segal Sunday Times (UK) It was a reminder that progress isn't nice and linear, that things can go backwards as well as forwards.
