2021年7月，有网友质疑《Butter》开头抄袭日本游戏公司科乐美于1992年制作的游戏《Monster in My Pocket》的背景音乐，而该曲的作曲者则表示为恰巧相似；荷兰音乐人Luca Debonaire表示《Butter》其中一名作曲家于2019年时将《Butter》中存在的一段旋律卖给了他，因此认为《Butter》存在版权问题，而防弹少年团的经济公司Big Hit表示该曲不存在版权问题 [10]。
