Reviews
- My favorite from 2023’s RSD releases that I purchased. My copy was pressed perfectly, the sound quality is very good overall.
- This recording sounds WAY better than I expected. The "live" side is just as enjoyable as the "session" side.
- I really love Faces, but I'm not entirely happy with this release. Side B is just great: great songs, great versions, great sound. Side A, however, has two major flaws:
- "Love In Vain" is running too fast. Rod almost sounds like Mickey Mouse.
- "Oh Lord I'm Browned Off" is faded out more than a minute earlier than on unofficial releases containing the same BBC session, e.g. Faces (3) - Faces Live (BBC3 - Live 1971-1972).
Therefore it's just a three star release for me. - I was not sure what to expect, but I really enjoy Faces especially this period. Just raw rock-n album!
The quality was the biggest surprise, it sounds great and the vinyl quality is very good. A few minor tics, but will be resolved with more plays.
If you enjoy Faces or want a great rock album from this era, please grab a copy and spin to your heart desire!
