Atalanta team news: Only one player out against Liverpool in Europa League decider - Football Italia

Giorgio Scalvini is expected to be the only Atalanta player unavailable against Liverpool on Thursday, in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

Italy international Scalvini won’t be available against Liverpool on Thursday at the Gewiss Stadium. It was not surprising not to see him involved in a training session on Wednesday as the 20-year-old has missed the last four matches across all competitions due to a hamstring muscle injury.

As reported by TuttoAtalanta, Scalvini was the only player out in today’s training session at Zingonia, after which the Nerazzurri returned to their homes. Atalanta players will train again on Thursday morning, hours before hosting the Reds.

Gian Piero Gasperini previewed the game at a pre-match press conference, urging his players not to think about last week’s 3-0 victory at Anfield.

Former Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac missed the latest meeting with Liverpool but has recovered from a minor muscle injury and has a fair chance to start in La Dea’s defence tomorrow.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has released his squad list for the match and will talk at a press conference later today.
