This is a wonderful neighborhood park situated along the East River. This is the place to be on a beautiful summer afternoon. My cousin and her husband lived in Shore Towers next to the park when they were first married.

Between two beautiful bridges there lies Astoria park. With a track and exercise stations, skate park, and the largest public pool in the city! The main lawn holds events, and is a great place for sunbathing. Even striped bass fishing in the east river (if you don't mind losing a few lures). Sledding in the winter is a big tradition here too. A must if ever in Astoria, enjoy!!

Such a fantastic park with beautiful views of NYC. It does get a lot of use by locals in the neighborhood but it's not too crowded like most of NYC's parks. They have a community pool that's free to use (you need to have your own lock to lock up your stuff though - they will not let you in without one). Some nice murals under the bridge, and lots of grass for picnicking.

Astoria park is a year round park. It has an Olympic size public pool, tennis courts, children playground, basketball court, run/walk track, restrooms and a parking area. There is a bicycle lane and nice paved walking paths around the park. Enjoy a picnic, a summer movie under the stars, a carnival or a 4th of July fireworks celebration. Like trains, ships and boats? Watch them pass by at all times of the day from the park.

My son lives a couple blocks from Astoria Park and I enjoy walking along the river when I'm visiting and have some free time. It is peaceful and beautiful.

I loved my time spent “clearing my head” between meetings at this gorgeous nyc spot. Breathtaking views, chatty locals and nice restaurants nearby make this a great way to waste a morning. But you won’t think it was wasted.

I really don't come here enough, but Astoria Park is one of the best parks in Queens. If you are a tourist or even a local. Walking down to the waterfront or marveling at the RFK/Triborough Bridge from the park offers you a taste of what is good about living in Astoria. I have to hand it to the Astoria Park Alliance who has been one of the most effective advocates for this landmark park. If you are here during the summer months there are carnivals, outdoor movie nights, and tons of other fun things to do. July 4 wonder down here to see the fireworks over the East River. Yesterday, -and there is still time -until Sunday-the park has a wonderful carnival with lots of rides; Ferris Wheel, Rockstar, and Alien Invasion. I did all three. The food was a little pricey, $5.00 for a candy apple or one souvlaki stick. Each ride is based on the number of tickets purchased. I recommend the $20 pack.

I grew up in astoria and been going to astoria park practically all my life. Def a fun and special place for everybody in the community and anybody else that just comes visits. You can play ball at the courts, run on the track field or work out on the sides, or even set up a picnic by the water and throw the ball around with friends and family.

Been living in Astoria for over 4 years now and the sunset at Astoria Park never gets old. Aside from awesome views of the skyline, river, and trees... Astoria Park has a dope skatepark.
