Audience Member Pointless and boring. Loved the actors though. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review william k Likable, but otherwise quite unremarkable outsider romance drama; good performances, though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is fantastic. fuck the critics. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Well, poo pa to the critics. a slice of life, even if depressed and ugly, that reflects the reality of more young people than we'd like to see or care to admit. The "little bit of heroin" thrown in comment shows just out out of touch critical snobs are, um you have not heard about the national epidemic? Pull your faces out of the Starbucks and stop texting this IS what the wreckage of the 80's and 90's looks like and is portrayed with excellent acting, directing and soundtrack. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Asthma is mellow and cruisy with an extremely well adapted soundtrack. Despite the serious undertones present within the film, on the whole it leaves me feeling warm, optimistic and slightly more engaged with a new perspective. Asthma is targeted at a younger audience and the themes are more relatable being in that demographic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Blah, Blah, Blah.... Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Gus just isn't a guy I liked spending time with, watching him meander around gracelessly about as entertaining as having tiny hot needles poked into my eyes A Clockwork Orange-style. Rated: 1/4 Aug 18, 2016 Full Review Sherilyn Connelly Village Voice A fascinating character study. Dec 4, 2015 Full Review Tom Keogh Seattle Times "Asthma" loses its spark and momentum long before the halfway point - a genuine disappointment. Rated: 2/4 Nov 26, 2015 Full Review Taia Handlin Bust Magazine Jake Hoffman's feature film directorial debut, Asthma, deploys almost every romantic comedy trope there is, all the while throwing in heroin to give it some street cred. Oct 5, 2016 Full Review Robert Horton HeraldNet (Everett, WA) It must be possible to make a movie in which the hero is a trust-fund baby/heroin addict/car thief and still maintain some rooting interest in the story's outcome. Asthma is not that movie. Rated: 1/4 Dec 1, 2015 Full Review Scott Renshaw Salt Lake City Weekly Too bad the music has to stop for anyone on screen to talk.
