Ashley Cole and his fiancée Sharon Canu celebrated the New Year with their children Jaxon, six, and Grace, four, this week.

The former pro footballer, 42, was all smiles as he received a kiss on each cheek from his partner and his son.

Sharing the snap to her 6,185K Instagram followers, his Italian partner added a 'Hello 2023' sticker whilst giving the rare insight into family life.

Dressed up for the celebration, Sharon looked glam in a monochrome tweed blazer as she turned to her beau.

As she planted a lipstick tainted peck on his cheek, the couple's eldest child Jaxon did the same on his dad's cheek - suited in a white shirt.

Ashley and Sharon confirmed their engagement last year after being together for eight years.

After Ashley popped the question in March, the model later told Instagram followers it was the "easiest yes she'd ever said".

Now back in the UK, Ashley has reportedly spent thousands on a security dog for his family after he and his fiancée were held at knifepoint by robbers who broke into their home.

Ashley's Surrey mansion was broken into by masked raiders in January 2020, with a jury played a chilling 999 call from Sharon, begging for help from police to stop the burglary. 

He and Sharon often keep their long-term relationship under the radar as they enjoy family life together. 

The former footballer's first marriage, to pop star Cheryl Tweedy, ended just two years after their lavish 2006 wedding ceremony over claims of multiple infidelities with other women.

But opening up about the romance, he previously told The Daily Telegraph: 'It’s a different me. I’m more of a family man now. You won’t see me in nightclubs anymore, you’ll see me at a park pushing my kids.’
