Arlington Heights High School Reviews
Rating 3.85 out of 5 318 reviews
I would mainly like to see improvements in safety and parent involvement. We have had many incidents on campus this year that have caused lock downs and parents are never properly informed about what occurred. Gates and doors are constantly left unlocked with very little security allowing anyone to be able to walk on and off campus as they please.
I have attended Arlington Heights High School for all 4 years and I have been on the tennis team since freshman year. My coach has been nothing but supportive; the coaching staff across all sports is full of listening ears when a student needs one. I have taken 16 AP and honors classes and I feel that my teachers have prepared me for what college will uphold. I am a part of a college prep program called AVID, which helps with college applications, resumes, and FAFSA. Heights also has a GoCenter that all students can go to about college applications, financial aid, and scholarships. The only negative I have to say about Arlington Heights is not about the school itself, but the people that go there. Over the past 2 years, we have had around 5-6 cases of students bringing guns onto the campus. The security is quick to control the situation, but even with any negatives Arlington Heights High School has brought me, I would change nothing about my high school experience.
Honestly I love my high school it definitely has its flaws but i couldn’t see myself going to school anywhere else. But i will say this some flaws are expectable but when it comes to our safety id like to see them try a little harder with that.
