Nuno Espirito Santo has bounced back from his Tottenham Hotspur exit by winning the league title over in Saudi Arabia.
Tottenham Hotspur may have finished another season without a trophy but Nuno Espirito Santo has secured some silverware.
Spurs sacked Nuno back in November 2021, just a few months after appointing him as Jose Mourinho’s successor.
Seven defeats in 17 saw Nuno lose his job and he had to wait eight months before securing himself a new managerial role.
Al-Ittihad pounced for Nuno, luring him to Saudi Arabia as they chased a first Pro League title since way back in 2009.
Fending off Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t been easy but Al-Ittihad have now got themselves over the line.
Saturday’s 3-0 win over Al Feiha means Al-Ittihad are five points clear of Al-Nassr with a game to spare, securing the title.
Nuno has lost just two league games this season, racking up 21 wins in 29 games to seal top spot.
Nuno is now a hero at Al-Ittihad having ended their 14-year title drought – and he will be delighted to have bounced back from his Tottenham sacking in style.

We already know that Tottenham fans consider themselves cursed but it’s getting a little ridiculous.
Tottenham have hired so-called ‘winners’ in Mourinho and Antonio Conte, who have won trophies elsewhere but failed at Spurs.
Spurs went for Nuno in-between them and he has now won a league title.
Tanguy Ndombele has proven to be an expensive flop at Tottenham and has been loaned out to Napoli this season.
Of course, as would be with Tottenham’s luck, Ndombele has now won a league title himself in Italy.
Then there is Erik Lamela.
Tottenham let Lamela leave for Sevilla in 2021 as part of a deal which brought Bryan Gil to North London.
Gil’s move to Spurs hasn’t worked out, so he finds himself back out on loan at Sevilla.
Sevilla faced Juventus in the Europa League semi-finals and, in another moment that would leave Spurs fans tearing their hair out, Gil crossed for Lamela to score the winner.
A title in Saudi Arabia doesn’t come close to a title in England but this is just another story of somebody succeeding away from Tottenham.
