Strictly Come Dancing star Anton du Beke won Best Talent Show Judge at tonight's NTAs (October 13).

The star took to the stage to accept his award and talked about how pleased he was to have received this honour.

“I can’t tell you how delighted I am. I’m overwhelmed, really, because everybody knows how much I love the show… and I’m so proud to have been on the show since the very beginning,” he said.

Anton was a professional dancer on the show for many years before he took on the mantle of being a judge.

“Everybody on the show is the best of the best and I'm eternally grateful to everybody at home who voted for me, of course, and all the viewers. They’re such an integral part of the show and without them – the viewers voting – it doesn’t work. I’m eternally grateful, and I’m very lucky,” he said.

He also took the opportunity to talk to Digital Spy about what we can expect from the series going forward.

“We’re gonna have a leaderboard that is going to be up and down and we’re gonna have couples in the bottom two and couples in the dance-off… there’s going to be a lot of that and I think it's going to be very exciting,” he said.

He also talked about transitioning from being a professional dancer on the show to now being a judge.

“I haven’t come into the show as a judge… I’ve been here since the beginning, so I am completely familiar with it and I’m talking about something that I know. So I’m not perturbed by talking about dancing,” he explained.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows also stream on BBC iPlayer.
