Woah!
A great, grody, gross, gripping and seriously funny phantasmagoria of drugs, great music, creepiness, bad digestion and sexuality.
I think Lynch and Cronenberg would have been lucky to make such an effective piece of psychedelic freakout body horror.
Lyonne is funny, freaky and nasty and yet strangely classy in the role of a dopey doped-up wastrel whose meaningless life is injected (uh-huh) with a dose of fate; Webber is terrifying and so good he's almost unrecognizable, Sevigny is appropriately mental and mean.
I'm impressed by how well director Danny Perez incorporates some of the visual touches he developed in his more experimental, anti-narrative shorts in a narrative and how he uses music as part of the fabric of the story and not merely as illustration or ornament.
A warning to the faint of heart of tourists expecting a bit of mainstream horror: This isn't a slasher, freaky sex-show or supernatural peekaboo. It's a heavy, breakout, a does of hard drugs, a knock-down, drag-out assault on the viewer.
Oh, but it hurts so good.

This film is unapologetically rogue. Rarely see horror like this, let alone film in general. Feels indie but not pretentious. It wasn't really scary, more grotesque and unnerving. It's just so damned bizarre - reminds me a little of how I felt the first time I watched The Dark Backward.
I read a review that said it's funny but not "laugh out loud funny" ... but I actually did laugh out loud, more than once. The lead has some great lines and she's wonderful at delivery. There's some stuff that does bother me about this film but I feel like it's not even worth mentioning, bc the cool way outweighs the lame.

I love Natasha Leone and Chloe S. I couldn't help but (rent and later) buy this flick!

I just keep hoping something interesting would happen and it just never did. I love Chloe Sevigny and thinks she's a wonderful actress and I felt she did the best she could with this role, but the character was just so under developed. Natasha Lyonne played the same character that she does in most of the stuff she's in, but that's ok with me, she's good at it. How the two of them ended up accepting parts in this movie is beyond me. Maybe all the good parts where left on the cutting room floor. I'm not going to get into describing the movie, there's enough reviews here (which I so wish I read before watching) that do that. The whole thing just felt like a wanna-be Cronenberg trying too hard and totally missing the mark.

Meh. I think they could have raised the bar on this premise a bit, there seemed to be a ton of missed opportunities with this premise and the entire script, in almost every scene, to make this more interesting, scary, even shocking and gross, and much earlier on. I got a bit bored, and this just sort of goes off the rails right at the end, making me say, "Once was enough". Check that one off my list and let's move on.

If Alex Cox had been forced to make a Troma movie back in the '80s, it might have turned out something like Antibirth. It's total punk cinema about people you don't want to know - white trash drug addicts in a burned out corner of the midwest partying all night and just trying to make it to their next fix. One of them ends up pregnant somehow, and the movie eventually devolves or evolves into a body horror/alien pregnancy hybrid that looks like it was edited using iMovie. It didn't quite work for me, though I can see how it would work for those of you who know what a Troma movie is. Natasha Lyonne is quite good in it, though, delivering what can only be called a campy comedic performance.

Really interesting and unusual story line. Horror movies are a guilty pleasure of mine. But I'm rarely surprised by something so uniquely original such as this. Thanks for being genuinely refreshingly new. Definitely not as basic or average as the description made it sound. And Natasha is right on her game. Way to go, girl!!!!

I was waiting for this film for a while and when I finally saw it I could wait to show it to my friends. This film has almost all the genres combined. From the very dark comedy to a bit of horror here and there with it mainly being a thriller because you have no idea wtf is going on or going to happen next. This film is fun and exciting while being ingaging. If your bored of the same formula in films and crave something more dark and twisted this film is for you.

Despite the underclass punk aeshtetic and grim, gorey, underclass authenticity was all a bit surprisingly ......obvious!
