Actor Anthony Rapp sues Kevin Spacey for alleged sexual assault

Actor Anthony Rapp and another man are suing disgraced actor Kevin Spacey, claiming he sexually assaulted them in separate incidents when they were both just 14, new court papers show.

Rapp, of “Star Trek: Discovery” fame, first came forward with his claims in 2017, alleging that Spacey made unwanted sexual advances toward him when he was 14.

Rapp said in the lawsuit filed Wednesday that he met the since-ousted “House of Cards” actor in 1986 while performing in the Broadway play “Precious Sons” and that Spacey invited him to a party at his Manhattan pad during that period.

At the party, Spacey “intentionally and voluntarily and without plaintiff’s consent engaged in an unwanted sexual advance with a 14 year old and grabbed then infant plaintiff, Anthony Rapp’s, buttocks, lifted him onto a bed and laid on plaintiff’s body,” the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit charges.

Rapp ran in fear to the bathroom and after a few minutes, headed for the door before Spacey “tried to persuade plaintiff to stay but plaintiff refused and quickly left the defendant’s apartment,” the court papers claim.

Another victim, identified only as C.D. in the lawsuit, says he met Spacey when he was just 12 during an acting class that Spacey was teaching in Westchester County in 1981.

Two years later, Spacey invited the victim to his apartment, where he “engaged in sexual acts with plaintiff, C.D., while the plaintiff was 14 years old, including … the infant plaintiff performing anal intercourse on defendant Spacey and oral sex,” the court documents allege.

Spacey continued these sexual encounters “on different occasions,” the court papers claim.

In their last encounter, Spacey allegedly “attempted to anally sodomize the plaintiff, C.D.” And despite the boy’s multiple protests, Spacey kept up his pursuit until the boy “was able to free himself … and fled the defendant’s apartment,” the suit alleges.

Both Rapp and C.D. — who are suing for unspecified damages — claim they endured emotional damage from the encounters.

The accusers brought their cases under New York’s Child Victims Act, which allows victims of childhood abuse to bring lawsuits that would normally have passed outside of the statute of limitations.

Spacey faced a since-dropped criminal case in Massachusetts for allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old busboy in July 2016. Prosecutors dropped the case as the victim refused to speak in court.

The actor also settled a sexual assault lawsuit brought by an anonymous massage therapist who died last year.

“We are really dealing with a pedophile,” plaintiff lawyer Ben Rubinowitz said. “Kevin Spacey knew what he was doing. His conduct was designed to lure children into improper sexual conduct.”

“What Spacey did to C.D., it really was attempted rape,” said Rubinowitz’s partner on the case, Peter Saghir. “The conduct is beyond the pale, it’s egregious.”

Spacey’s lawyer and rep separately did not immediately return requests for comment.
