It appears Bennifer may have started a trend.
Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller are reportedly “reconnecting” more than two decades after their divorce.
The friendly exes are back in touch, according to the US Sun, after spending time together with Jolie’s sons Pax, 17, and Knox, 12, during her family’s recent trip to New York.
“On her first evening with Jonny, Angelina only took Knox along, and they got on like a house on fire,” a source claimed to the newspaper on Thursday. “Knox is a sweet kid, and I imagine she decided he was the easiest one to begin introductions with.”
The insider alleged that Jolie, 46, returned to Miller’s apartment with Pax a day after Knox met the actor, 48, so that the teen could get to know the “guy she’s always spoken so fondly about.”
“They only hung out for a short while at Jonny’s apartment, but they seemed to get along well,” the source added.
While the insider did not reveal whether the former couple’s new relationship is romantic, it appears that Jolie was pleased to have her kids acquaint themselves with a familiar face in New York in case her second-eldest son decides to go to college there.
“Angie is very happy because Pax keeps making noise about moving to New York someday soon, maybe even for school,” the source claimed to the US Sun. “She’s glad he’ll have someone she trusts around for him to go to for advice or just to see a friendly face.”
The insider added, “Angelina wanted to give her kids an educational trip to the big city, and she wanted to spend some time reconnecting with Jonny, too.”
Page Six previously reported that the “Maleficent” star was in New York for a belated birthday celebration and had arrived with all of her seven kids in tow on June 7.
Despite her initial reasons for arriving in the Big Apple, there’s no denying Jolie made some time to see Miller. She was photographed leaving her British ex’s apartment building in Dumbo last Friday, wearing a long, tan trench coat and holding a pricey bottle of Peter Michael wine.
The actors first met in 1995 when they were cast together in the film “Hackers.” They were married by March 1996.
However, their busy Hollywood schedules tore them apart, and they separated by September 1997. They officially filed for divorce in early 1999.
In a 2004 interview with B magazine, Jolie reportedly said divorcing Miller “was probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.”
Jolie went on to marry and divorce twice more — Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003 and Brad Pitt from 2014 to 2019 — while Miller spent 10 years married to “Law & Order” actress Michele Hicks. The pair split in 2018.
Reps for Jolie and Miller did not return our requests for comment.
