Deputy Head of the Office of the President Andrii Sybiha has been appointed the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Details: Mykola Tochytskyi, who previously served as Deputy to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, is set to replace Sybiha in the Office of the President.

Ukrainska Pravda earlier reported the possibility of such a personnel reshuffle.

Updated: According to the official governmental Telegram channel, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers decided to adopt the following directive during its meeting on 12 April:

On the appointment of Andrii Sybiha as Ukraine's first deputy minister of foreign affairs and the dismissal of Mykola Tochytskyi from the position of deputy minister of foreign affairs.

For reference: Andrii Sybiha is an experienced diplomat. He has worked in various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1997. 

From 2016, he served as Ukraine's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Türkiye. 

He was appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine by Zelenskyy's decree dated 31 May 2021.

Mykola Tochytskyi has been with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1993. On 29 September 2021, he became Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
