I first came to experience Mr. Prine's charm and acting talent in the film "Bandolero", where he stood out in a role that could have been a forgettable, minor character. But he imbued it with dignity and honor, making it memorable, as he did all the roles he played across the years. May I here express my admiration for his talent, and my sincerest condolences to his family for their loss. As the epitaph for his character in "Bandolero" read, he was "a good boy", any many will miss him.

Andrew Prine was a solid, talented character actor in so many films and TV episodes. I enjoyed his work in TV westerns, especially "Gunsmoke" and his portrayal of Helen Keller's older brother in "The Miracle Worker." Mr. Prine has left us a wonderful entertainment legacy, and I extend my condolences to his family, friends, and fellow fans at this sad and difficult time.
