Seann William Scott Says There's a "Great Idea" For Another AMERICAN PIE Sequel

Is anyone ready for another American Pie sequel!? Well, according to franchise actor Seann William Scott, we may get another sequel as there is a “great idea” for one. The last film in the franchise was American Reunion back in 2012, and when asked if there would be a follow-up to that movie during an interview with CB, Scott responded, saying:

"I don't know, I just love the character so much. We have to have a great idea, and especially these days, it has to be awesome. You know, comedy is tough, and they have always been tough, but you know, comedies have really changed. But I think, honestly, we have been talking about an idea. I had one and I still have one that we've literally just recently started talking about."

Scott went on to talk about how much fun it would be to make another sequel with Stifler in his mid-forties still trying to figure his life out. He said:

"It would be so much fun to see, I think, fun, but also really fascinating to see a guy like Stifler in his mid-forties today trying to figure things out. A guy who hasn't really changed that much, but the world has changed, you know, what would his life be like? ... Is there a fun end to a story? I don't know if it'll ever happen." 

That sounds like the route the Cobra Kai creative team went with Johnny Lawrence and it’s not hard to imagine Stifler in a similar situation.

I don’t think we really need any more American Pie movies, but as someone who has enjoyed the films in the comedy franchise over the year, if they did make another sequel, yeah, I’d probably watch it. Would you want to see another American Pie sequel?
