Amber Clayton (born December 12, 1978 in Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian actress who only had her breakthrough in 2009 with a leading role in the US series Three Rivers Medical Center .
life and career
Born in 1978 in Melbourne, Australia's second largest city , Clayton, who lives in South Yarra , began her acting career relatively late. Before that, she worked as a psychologist and worked in mental hygiene for three years before deciding to attend the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City in 2005 . After a few commercials, a low-budget film, and a guest appearance on the Channel Ten drama Rush , she finally got the role of Dr. Lisa Reed in the short-lived US hospital series Three Rivers Medical Centercast. In this role she was ultimately seen in almost all produced episodes of the series. In 2003 she was seen in one of the leading roles in the award-winning Australian horror thriller Max: A Cautionary Tale . With the success in Three Rivers Medical Center came further offers and engagements for Clayton. In 2009 she starred in an episode of John Safran's Race Relations and in 2011 made a guest appearance in the US hit series CSI: Miami . Additionally, Amber Clayton was in a relationship with Three Rivers ' male lead actor , Australian Alex O'Loughlin, from around 2010 to 2011.
