Lorita Music carries the whimsical nature of Amelies dream life. We watch her strategize ways to better the lives of unhappy people never realizing she also needs an intervention to bring fulfillment to herself. A French view of the world that cannot help but bring humor and irony to a delightful story of making things happen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Rania Richardson AV Club Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s quirky rom-com AMÉLIE felt like a breath of fresh air when it was released two decades ago. It's just as relevant today, but for different reasons. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 14, 2024 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) With the talented Audrey Tautou in the leading role, Amelie is sheer delight, and will entrance everyone who sees it. Rated: 4.5/5 Feb 13, 2024 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Amelie is a delicious pastry of a movie, a lighthearted fantasy in which a winsome heroine overcomes a sad childhood and grows up to bring cheer to the needful and joy to herself. You see it, and later when you think about it, you smile. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 13, 2024 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy An enchanting, quirky comedy that, like its central character, marches to its own (off)beat. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 23, 2024 Full Review Michael D. Reid Victoria Times Colonist (B.C., Canada) Like its title character, Amelie is a quirky, unabashedly manipulative charmer that, while endearing at first, overstays its welcome. Until the visual pyrotechnics and faux joie de vivre become too overbearing, however, [it's] a captivating confection. Rated: 3/5 Feb 13, 2024 Full Review Dennis King Tulsa World An utterly fresh, imaginative and emotional piece of filmmaking that s touched by enough sheer magic to lift the spirits of even the most hardened cynic.
