The eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars was officially announced by Logo on August 18, 2022.

On April 14, 2023, it was announced that Season 8 will premiere on May 12, 2023 on Paramount+.

On April 20, 2023, the cast of Season 8 was announced. The promo theme was Old Hollywood Met Gala.

Jimbo was crowned and introduced in the Drag Race Hall of Fame, with Kandy Muse as runner-up. Lala Ri won the title of Queen of the Fame Games and won $60,000.

Synopsis: Twelve Drag Race All Stars return for a second chance at the crown and a cash prize of $200,000. And this season, there are two ways to win! After a sickening fashion show mini-challenge, the queens thrill iconic guest judge Idina Menzel with girl group performances of the revamped underground club classic, “Money, Success, Fame, Glamour.”

Synopsis: The time has come... to crown two queens! First, Ru will announce who fans voted “Queen of the Fame Games!” Then, our top two finalists will battle for a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame, serving up performances to new original songs! In the end, RuPaul will decide who snatches the All Stars crown and the Grand Prize of $200,000.
