The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, as the founder of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade (VAFT), appointed Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Vittoria Idrisova as acting rector of the university. The corresponding decision was formalized by order of the department.

The former rector of the university, Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will and intends to focus on scientific activities.

“Vittoria Viktorovna has been working at the Academy for more than 15 years. “She went from a research assistant to a vice-rector for academic affairs,” commented the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. “Under her leadership, new areas of training and specialties were opened at the Academy, new educational programs and projects were launched.”

He also noted that Idrisova’s active scientific work will contribute to the comprehensive and comprehensive development of the Academy.

By decision of the Academic Council of VAVT, elections for the position of rector were announced. At the moment, candidates are being nominated from the structural divisions of the Academy, who will have to pass the Certification Commission of the ministry. After which elections will be held at a conference of employees and students of the Academy based on the results of discussion of the programs of candidates for the position of rector for five years.

Vittoria Viktorovna Idrisova graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT, bachelor’s and master’s degrees) in 2008 with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Later she received a master’s degree in Economics from the Russian School of Economics. In 2011, she defended her dissertation in the specialty “Economic Theory”, 08.00.01 on the topic “Theoretical issues of the application of non-tariff regulatory measures in foreign trade.”

The work of Vittoria Idrisova at VAVT of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia was awarded with Gratitude from the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation I.I. Shuvalov – for active participation in preparing and ensuring the chairmanship of the Russian Federation at the APEC forum in 2012, and in 2021. – thanks to VAVT Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

The direction of Vittoria Idrisova’s scientific and professional interests is directly related to the specifics of the university – macroeconomics, international trade and integration, which, together with her qualifications in the development of educational programs and management of the educational activities of the Academy, forms a high level of continuity of experience of the previous leadership.

Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev has headed VAVT since 2007. During his leadership, the Academy reached a new educational level – many new educational professional programs were opened, scientific activities developed intensively – research is carried out at a high level and is highly appreciated by the expert community. The Academy’s campus expanded significantly – two academic buildings were opened, classrooms were updated and equipped with technical equipment, modern self-study areas for students and a library complex were created. On the territory of the Academy there is a new comfortable dormitory and a sports complex.
