an often excruciatingly irrelevant piece of work. directors chan hing-ka and janet chun, working from a script from chan hing-ka, delivers a sluggish narrative that traffics heavily in tired, unfunny stereotypes, as every element within the film is dripping with eye-rolling hoary conventions that grow more and more aggravating as it progresses.
with, especially, the admittedly talented supporting cast (which includes donnie yen, louis koo, sandra ng, kelly chen, raymond wong and chapman to) trapped within the confines of unreasonably over-the-top and one-dimensional cliches. and although donnie yen and louis koo are relatively charming within their respective roles, the film’s almost total lack of positive attributes effectively negates its few affable elements.

They really don't make them like they used to. I love the old 90's Stephen Chow All's Well, End's Well movies but this latest edition to the series was pretty poor. A few laughs now and then but thats about it.
