Alexandra Astin (b. Alexandra Louise Astin on November 27, 1996, California, USA) was the child actress who played Elanor Gamgee in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003).
Biography[]
Alexandra is the daughter of Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee) and his wife Christine Astin. She comes from a family of actors that includes Patty Duke and John Astin. She has two younger sisters, Elizabeth, b. 2002, and Isabella, b. 2005. With her father, she has appeared and attended book signings and the promotional tour of There and Back Again: An Actor's Tale.
The part of Elanor was Astin's first known role in cinema. She has since appeared in other roles, perhaps most notably as "Ethel Balducci" in Bad Kids of Crestview Academy (2017).
Her nickname is "Ali".
