Born on 28 July 1989, he started playing football at the age of 6, featuring as striker. Three years later, he moved under the goalposts and found his vocation.

At the age of 12, he joined the youth system of AEK Athens, but the big distance between his home and the training centre proved an insurmountable obstacle and he had to leave the club. A year later, Olympiacos jumped at the opportunity to sign the player, after a test.

He left the Piraeus club at the age of 15 and penned his first professional contract. He accepted the offer of Ilioupoli and started lining up matches in Greece’s third tier.

After two season at Ilioupoli, in 2007, Paschalakis was invited at a try out by Galatasaray SK. He travelled to Sweden to join the Turkish club’s preseason, played some games with the B team and the administration of Cimbom moved to acquire him immediately. However he would occupy a foreign player’s place and that obstacle proved too much.

He was released by Ilioupoli in 2008 and signed for Levadiakos. He made his debut in 2011 in play-off game of the Football League, but didn’t get to feature at all in the Super League.

He moved to Cyprus in 2012 for PAEEK, where he made a few appearances, before he attracted interest from Turkey once again. Akhisar Belediyespor wanted to sign him and invited him for a few trainings, but the Greek goalkeeper wasn’t enthusiastic about the prospect of living in Manisa and declined the offer.

After returning to Greece and spending six months in limbo, he signed for Panthrakikos and lined up just 13 matches until January 2016. PAS Giannina however didn’t hesitate to acquire him to cover for goal, after Markos Vellidis moved to PAOK.

He didn’t play at all in his first six months in Giannina. He became the starting goalkeeper last summer though after the injury sustained by Peristeridis and got off to some impressive performances. He completed last season with 27 encounters played in all competitions (UEFA Europa League, Super League and Greek Cup) and 9 clean sheets to his name.

He was released from his contract with PAS Giannina in June 2017 and joined PAOK on Monday 7 August.
