Alexandra Kerry

An alumna of the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory, Alexandra Kerry now boasts an illustrious career in the entertainment industry, honing her skills as both a director and producer.

Prior to her academic tenure at AFI, where she received a Richard P. Rogers Spirit of Excellence Award for her directing prowess, Alexandra Kerry attended Milton Academy, an independent college preparatory school in Massachusetts. Kerry then studied anthropology and modern culture & media at Rhode Island’s Brown University and subsequently obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the AFI Conservatory.

A key asset behind the scenes of multiple short and feature films, Alexandra Kerry draws on years of extensive experience in all facets of the filmmaking process. Most notably, Kerry’s 2004 short drama, The Last Full Measure, earned her considerable recognition across the globe, garnering accolades such as Best Film at the Austin Film Festival and Best Production Design at the Los Angeles Film Festival. The motion picture premiered at the renowned Cannes International Film Festival and was later featured at Utah’s Sundance Film Festival, among dozens of others.

In addition to her achievements with The Last Full Measure, Alexandra Kerry aided in the undeniable success of MTV’s The Hills, leading the show’s debut episode and helping to create a billion-dollar reality television format for its legendary network.

Furthermore, Kerry acted as Co-Producer of the 2008 HBO documentary and Berlin International Film Festival award-winner Be Like Others, a feature-length picture about transsexualism in Iran. Alexandra Kerry also lists All Summer in a Day, The Hazards of Good Breeding, and Maggie & Me among her many works.
