Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Happiness269635 contributionsEnjoyed our visit. Staff were super.
Assault course for the kids was fun: good and informative displays etc, especially the guns and helmets.
Enjoyed seeing the vehicles and tanks, just a shame some are looking very run down, maybe need a bit of restoration but understand funding is tight!Written 12 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum is located in a military base, therefore there are barriers and security to get through, which might be a little off putting at first. However, we were met by a charming and personable lady who told us where to park and directed us to the museum. Note: photo ID (eg driving licence) is required. The museum itself is absolutely fascinating! There is SO much to learn and the information boards are all easy to read and understand. There are many interesting exhibits (some quite gory!) and lots of information about the history of medicine (not just military), which would be excellent for a student studying this module of GCSE History. The layout is well thought out, spacious and in chronological order. There is also a small shop with some unusual items o
On sale. We very much enjoyed our visit, and would certainly return. Definitely recommended. There is no entry fee, although donations are welcomed.Written 22 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The toilets were okay alittle out dated but kinda obvious considering it's over 100+ years old. Basketball court was good except the nets on the hoops needed changing, the field/grass was good all green and very big which Is always good 👍 fast food haven't tried it so can't comment on it. The pool was very well maintained except a bit too cold considering its 31°c + outside. I know you want it cold, but not to the point where your feet are like nearly cold enough to snap off. You're allowed to dive in, which is also a big plus.
The changing rooms are okay except not a lot of privacy I pretty sure I saw a little boy around 11 butt naked just walking around. And alittle over crowded at times. So inconclution it's good for the money oh and only £6.50p for 8 hours so I say BARGAIN.Written 9 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
