This is completely misleading about Alcatraz there is about 2% information on Alcatraz the rest is on other historical events. This is not worth $35 big waste of money.

Pretty sweet museum! Price is steep, but worth it if you want 4-5 hours of entrainment and some hands on activities.
Lots of true crime, history and learning here! It's just as big on the inside as it looks on the outside of Alcatraz!
Enjoy your time here and see some neat things! - Nov 24, 2021
Purchased the scavenger hunt to complete as we walked through and it was worth the $5! Loads of fun and they even offered interactive places to stop. Hand sanitizer was available everywhere so even if you used something that others could touch, you could quickly get hand sanitizer. First time visiting something like this and it was a blast!

Had the opportunity to go and see this museum with my family, and I just want to say the entire museum was well thought out and displayed information All throughout history. The Highlighted Exhibit currently is Ted Bundy, and The thing I appreciated the most was how well represented his victims were displayed in this with quotes and pictures provided by families and friends. You don't see that all too often in exhibitions, and as a Murderino myself it's a small hurray for the victims and their families.
I look forward to my next visit! - Jul 28, 2019
Well, I have to say I had no idea what to expect coming here. But I wasn't disappointed. No really, its a very nice tour d'force of crime and law enforcement history.
The exhibits are broken into eras and i really loved the Wild West area. The museum has pictures, guns and other artifacts from actual collections as well. Lots of great historical tidbits to take away! There are even cars and trucks from Infamous events like OJs highway run in the white ford bronco - spoiler alert - its here! Other stuff too.
The fam and I really enjoyed the time here. The museum is tasteful and informative. Lots of heinous crimes to study, but handled in a way that was good for history buffs and families wanting to have some fun too.
Of course there's a gift shop at the end but it's tasteful and at the end.
The place is really a solid study in American crime and law enforcement.
I suspect- get it .... suspect - that you'll enjoy your time here. Very interesting and nicely done. - Kayla C.Glasgow, VA86943Aug 4, 2021
If you enjoy true crime documentary this is a must. It breaks down more than what any documentary talks about. You see actual artifacts and well as hands on exhibits.

What a great museum! This is not just Alcatraz memorabilia, as it has all sorts of crime items and stories throughout history on display. There is everything from early forms of punishment, the Chicago Mob, Alcatraz, September 11th, to stories of terrorism and serial killers...this is an interesting museum! They even had OJ Simpson's famous white Bronco on display...yes THE Bronco!
The price to get in is $24.95 for adults, and for $5 more, you can take the audio tour. Our party opted for the audio tour, and I wish we'd only added 2 audio tours. These are not headphones, but are a speaker device that you hold up to your ear at specific stops along the way. The noise level in the museum kept me from really enjoying the audio tour, and I ended up not using it halfway through. There are enough information displays and articles to read to understand the displays, so I don't feel that I missed out when not using the audio tour.
Bring your walking shoes, because there are so many artifacts to look at and learn about...we spent a good 3 hours at this museum! There's a cool gift shop when you're done walking through the exhibits, too. This is a must-see attraction while in Pigeon Forge. I would definitely visit it again! - Dec 26, 2018
History. Who likes or even loves history? It can be amzaing to be exposed to things you never knew about.
It was our family vacation and first time being in the Smokie Mtn area. We read numerous reciews about the more popular places and tried to hit them all. One stop was Alcatraz East.
So we thought we knew what to expect. I mean it is a museum, but the reviews were so good by people of all ages. Needless to say I was amazed. Being a history fanatic I loved this stop! My Fiancée isn't into history like me, but stayed real close and looked and read merely everything just like me. Yeah, that was shocking!
The kids even liked it. Not as much as us adults but, they found some interesting things there. We spent nearly three hours in here reading most of the content and looking at exhibits. We could have easily spent 4-5 hours reading everything and talking about it while looking. There is really that many exhibits here and interesting ones at that.
If you find yourself contemplating this place just do it. You'll enjoy the experience and the content of the museum. - Jul 19, 2021
We loved it! Of course we have a family of 'crime' enthusiasts. The museum is larger than we expected and is full of a lot of really informative things. It was well worth the trip if you have any interest or curiousity about anything crime and/or criminal. You can spend hours here reading all the interesting facts and reviewing all the material. Several areas of 'quizzes' and 'hands-on' areas that make it even more interesting.

Was a rainy day at the Smoky Mountains so figured we'd check Alcatraz East out! Had so many exhibits with a ton of artifacts. Only downside was the crowd. Super crowded so it felt a little rushed at times when trying to snap a few photos. My personal favorite was seeing the Bronco owned by O.J. Simpson and the temporary exhibit of Ted Bundy. Super interesting if you are into true-crime and shows like NCIS, CSI, etc.
