I can only give a review based on the external feature as the building is temporarily closed for extensive renovations and, according to the Council, "an eye-catching extension to the hall fronting the City Park." The building dates to 1891 and showcases classical Victorian architecture and is considered one of Launceston's most significant heritage buildings listed on the Register of the National Estate in 1978. The Hall was mentioned in a news item when we were staying in Launceston and from it I understand the the East Wing installed in 1980 will be redeveloped so that it is more in harmony with the original building.
Not happy that it was closed.

What a great building and acoustics. We have been to many concerts here and actually played in some. A wonderful old building of Victorian architecture used for concerts and conventions, antique fairs etc. Its definitely worth a visit. It has a cafe attached and is 1 minute walk to City park where there is a monkey enclosure, beautiful gardens and children's playground. 10 minute walk from most major hotels in Launceton and across the street from the famous motor museum.

Visited here a few times with work. Good venue for conferences, nicely located in town. Also next to the park which is great to explore.

As we parked in the carpark beside Albert Hall, we noticed its Victorian architecture. I wanted to see the Brindley Air Organ, but we ran out of time after visiting the City Park.

Very impressive from the outside it's even more so from the inside. If there's one thing that the Victorians knew it's how to build magnificently, and this is no exception.

Frequently visit Albert Hall for functions, check out the architecture, the organ and its pipes. Walk around it to compress the size

The Victorians built so many impressive public buildings and here's another one. We were fortunate that we were in Launceston when the Christmas market was taking place in the main hall. Certainly an impressive room and a equally impressive from the outside.
