With the gunships, you just have to aim at the engines / joints while using the Dominator. It'll take 'em down in much less than three mags. I also usually take out cannon turrets more quickly than 3 mags. Maybe 2 ... or even 1 1/2.
But yes ... the Dominator is an excellent weapon.
3 mags? Do I need to carry around a supply pack?
I definitely carry around a supply pack when running with the Dominator or the Scorcher. And ... while the Dominator technically can take out some of the heavies ... I usually bum an EAT or Quasar off a team mate once their cooldown has expired and they can call in more.
Supply pack is pretty good, Like the first guy said it's alot less than 3 if you hit all your shots but it can be up to 3 mags. You're better off bringing a quasar or something that can shoot down the gunships.
My brother in democracy, I adore the dominator and im glad to know it can bring down a gunship…
…but lets say its two JAR mags - that’s 30 shots on a moving target that’s sending missiles and laser fire your way, to say nothing of his 1-5 additional friends also flying around. I wouldnt do this unless it was a last resort situation. As in, “the fabricator is destroyed, there’s one ship left, everyone is dead, there’s nothing else available and i gotta get this thing off my tail.”
There is no single weapon that I would voluntarily use for everything. I would not voluntarily use the Dominator to go after a gunship ... but if I'm without a Quasar or EAT or friend ... at least my shots aren't going to just bounce off?

Like I said in the video, it's the Jar-5s biggest weakness. I test these things so people don't waste their time. As I said in the video you're better off bringing a support weapon to deal with gunships. If 4 people have jar 5s and are all shooting at the gunship it will die in like 3 seconds. It all depends on the situation.
