I really wanted to like it, but the writing is just so bad. There's every bad writing trope you can think of from bad guys easily being able to kill the good guys and they just don't, to characters who are parents putting their kids in danger for no reason. Seriously, STOP TAKING YOUR KIDS ON ADVENTURES THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING ON! It's just something a GENERAL would clearly not do in real life and there was no reason for it other than it's a trope that "looks endearing" in films/tv shows. The flying whales...SMH. This could have been such a great show, but it's just extremely poorly written.
