Model Agyness Deyn Marries Joel McAndrew in Brooklyn Heights

Former model and actress Agyness Deyn was pretty in pink when she married hedge fund manager Joel McAndrew in an intimate ceremony at Grace Church in Brooklyn Heights over the weekend. The bride circumvented tradition and wore a blush and white Molly Goddard gown with full, tiered organza sleeves. She accented the dress with teal bejeweled shoes and an unexpected bouquet of orchids and wheat, created by Doan Ly of a.p. Bio Floral. The British beauty, who was previously married to actor Giovanni Ribisi, styled her straight blonde bob into a side part. Her makeup was natural, and she accessorized with simple teardrop earrings for a very fresh-faced look. The groom was on theme, color coordinated, and as a result, equally endearing in a blue tie, teal pocket square, pink boutonniere, and velvet slippers.

In the lead-up to the big day, Deyn made our hearts melt when she posted to Instagram an image of the couple kissing with the caption: “I get to marry my best friend today.”

Wedding planner Jonathan Stamper-Halpin orchestrated the event, which kicked off with cocktail hour in the courtyard at The Green Building in Brooklyn. Naturally Delicious was the catering company behind the dinner menu, which consisted of pan seared hanger steak, rosemary roasted chicken, pomme frites, spicy broccoli rabe, and grilled market vegetables served family style. Momofuku cake brought by the bride and groom was served for dessert.

After dinner, the Silver Arrow band performed. They played until about 1:00 a.m., at which point Deyn thanked the group and simultaneously coerced them into singing one more song: “I Will Walk 500 Miles” by The Proclaimers. Food trucks by Korilla and Van Leeuwen ice cream were parked on site and passing out late night snacks.

The day after all of the festivities, Deyn summed up her emotions by sweetly pairing an adorable shot of the newlyweds exiting the church covered in confettiwith: “I love you Mr. McAndrew, and I’m so honored and excited to call you my husband.”
