Adam Armstrong Jr., 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada died October 12, 2023, in Las Vegas Nevada.
He was born in Beaumont, Texas to Adam Armstrong and Eldeared Armstrong Granville.
Adam attended school in Lansing, Michigan and was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Amarillo for the majority of his life. Adam was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, The Temptations, Superman, and he was a frequent traveler. He and his wife Dina traveled extensively all over the states. He was close with his mom and very protective of his family; his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was very charismatic, and his smile and charm lit up any room he entered.
Adam was a highly motivated entrepreneur who specialized in car sales, which was his passion. He began his career at the age of nineteen working for an Oldsmobile dealership in Michigan. He also attended General Motors Technical School while in Michigan. In September of 1976 he received a diploma for completing the Small Car Salesman’s Selling Conference. From 1976 to 1977, Adam was awarded ‘Salesman of the Month’ for 18 months in a row at Bradley Lincoln Mercury. Also in 1977, he was granted membership of the ‘Three Quarter Million Dollar Club’ in recognition of Superior Sales Achievement. He received an honorable mention in the November 1994 issue of the Amarillo Auto Auction Inc Market Report. In 2003 he founded North Star Enterprises, which included real estate, automotive, and entertainment. During this time, he was also a co-owner of A & J Autos. He continued his work in car sales until he retired in 2010 and relocated to Las Vegas.
Adam was preceded in death by his mother Eldeared Armstrong Granville; his father Adam Armstrong Sr.; brothers, David D. Armstrong, Alton Armstrong, and Michael James Armstrong Sr.; his sister Kana Granville, as well as his grandson Aremy Justin Armstrong Jr.
Adam is survived by his sweetheart wife, Dina Armstrong; his children, Lynda Ann Lambert and husband Tim, Adam Armstrong, III and wife Judith, Nicole Eldeared Newton and husband Anthony, Tyrone Christopher and wife Jessica, and Aremy Justin Armstrong and wife Dana; his brother Davis Armstrong Sr.; his sisters, Fay Armstrong and Christy Elzie; 24 grandchildren; one of which he helped raise, Trinity Armstrong, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, 1507 N. Adams St. Amarillo, Texas 79107.

Cousin, I am truly going to miss you, your smile & always being in good spirits. I am so grateful that I spent time with you & Dina when I would go to Vegas. I would call and you would be right there to pick me up. I love you Cousin, take your rest until we see each other again.

Cuz, I enjoyed the last time we had the opportunity to talk when I traveled down to Texas. Herman and I tried to play the game with you of guess who this is and after two clues you said (cowboy). Adam will be missed by those that knew and love him. I have many fond memories of my brother in law. He always had a smile for you. Adam was very friendly and caring, someone you would want to know and have in your life. I’ll see you again one day, when it’s my time to come home. Love you Adam, give Jesus a hug for me.
Cousin Adam, I am so glad I was able to see you back in February. You still had that welcoming smile. We had a great time eating gumbo. Rest easy and you will be missed.
