My year started off from a huge setback, but lucky school stuff was ready to help. I’m giving my overall experience a 4/5 because of the teachers at this school - they are friendly and very good at what they do! I also really enjoyed the Art Club, so a huge that you to the founder! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to meet many students because of you know what, but I heard both nice and not so nice things about them, so I can’t speak on that. There are a few other pros and cons that I can talk about forever, but my overall experience was quite smooth and enjoyable.
All 4 years i attended this High School was the absolute best. Every single individual I came across or had an encounter with helped mold me to the person I am today. I would change nothing about my time there. From my education to my athlete life, it was the best thing. To this day, those that attended are close. The school was and is a family. No matter what everyone was celebrated for every accomplish.
I recently graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School which is located in Coney Island. Very different from Brownsville, which is the neighborhood I was born and raised in. This school has different ethnicities, races, religions, and sexualities. Some kids are Russian, Uzbek, African-American, Indian, Muslim, Hispanic, Christian or even Atheist. Although, we were all different the school never separated us or made us feel alone. Every club, a sports team, and the classroom was filled with kids from different backgrounds. That’s what made Abraham Lincoln different. In my old school, I used to only African American and Hispanic kids with only African American teachers. Having even more kids and teachers with a different background from mine help me gain more perspectives on the world. Being around kids who are expected to excel because of their race-based on society it pushed me to be great and aim for the 90s and 95s.
