The TV coverage is over now and there was no sign of Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin. No doubt he'll be giving his players a serious dressing down after that display.

That's one win in nine and this bruising defeat comes after shipping five goals away to Hearts.

A bit more from Darvel manager Mick Kennedy, who tells BBC Sportscene: "I believed in the guys all week. It's about togetherness and love and respect. We've been driving that home all week.

"We probably deserved going in front. We had to show our togetherness. The community has been unbelievable. From the first day I came here I told the board we are going to build something special."

Goal hero Jordan Kirkpatrick tells BBC Scotland: "I'm meant to be at work tomorrow, hopefully I can get the night off.

Where Darvel go next in the Scottish Cup is another home tie against Falkirk.

The Bairns, second in League 1 at the moment, will know they are in for a tough, tough day.
