Mmmhmm, hanging up the phone with a “my boss just walked in” when your student obsession comes in the room. That pseudo dating montage. I see you, erotic subtext. Okay, never mind, it’s not subtext. 👀
Everyone knows that when a teacher is booted from one school they just wreak havoc somewhere else, they don’t come back to the scene of the crime. The plot should’ve reflected that, but also how are mom and Ms.Cunningham the same age? Too many dang plot holes.
Wait is this child domming this woman into compliance? But what really stands out for me is a rugby shirt for lacrosse. Get your weird sports traditions right. Damn, this child running everything.
A teacher becomes obsessed with a student, and starts helping her out. But just how far will this teacher go to get her way?
Duh. Duh. Duh!!!!
Creeped out? Me neither.
Too be fair, there are several competent performances. Boti Bliss is convincing and surprisingly sympathetic as the crazy teacher. Mia Rose Frampton is OK as the lead, but won't win any Oscars.
But there are just way too many problems with the film. The location, supposedly a high- end girls school, is barely seen. Most of the action takes place in random rooms with no connection to one another. We don't know if we're in a dorm, or an apartment, or a luxury condo.
There are themes of insanity…
Ridiculous half-ass plot, dreadful writing, and bland characters.
Lifetime movies -- you've outdone yourself!
seriously, i came across this movie by chance and i thought 'why not? lemme watch that in the background as i do something else' but i ended up liking it so much i couldn't get my eyes off the screen.
A fun thriller with Boti Bliss as an ice cold sociopath, making it feel a little fresher than most Lifetime obsession flicks. The emotionless machine of Bliss is countered by Mia Rose Frampton, who plays a spoiled, entitled brat. A brisk one, Lifetime fans should appreciate it.
I can't even begin to describe the insanity in the script, the ineptitude in the direction or the wooden nature of the acting. This is a perfect storm of "who signed off on this??
