Franklin County High School senior fighting glioblastoma crowned Homecoming Queen

There was a special show of support at Franklin County High School in Indiana Friday night for a senior taking center stage.Seventeen-year-old Kayla Spangler was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in November 2020. She's been fighting this rare form of brain cancer for a while but has been staying strong with her friends and family by her side.During halftime of Friday's football game, she was crowned Homecoming Queen in the middle of the field.Kayla's mom, Linzy Spangler, says she was excited and shocked when she was voted Homecoming Queen.In a recent interview this week Kayla said, "Have hope in this world. Never take life for granted. Life can change in an instant," Kayla said in an interview this week.
